BioI'm a 29-year-old, recovering reporter working in the non-profit sector. My life -- not that interesting. Unless your consider my apparently perma-singlehood status amongst my married, serial-dating, child-birthing, house-buying, career-advancing, blissfully happy friends and family. I already live with two cats, and am well on my way to becoming that crazy friend your parents invited over for holiday dinners. I'm just a woman trying to make a living on her own with a few words and a lot of tenacity.
I knew I was doomed for eccentric spinsterhood when grandma Baldwin leaned over to me during my 20-year-old cousin's wedding (I should point out I actually typed funeral by mistake in the original draft of this. How's that, Freud?) Anyway, back to grandma's beads of wisdom, she leans in close and conspiratorially says: "I'm so glad this is the last one of these I'm going to have to attend, 'cause lord knows I'm not going to live long enough to see you get married. But, don't worry honey, that's a compliment. NEVER get married. Men are over rated, stick with your cats."
